Working with Dr. Virgil Wood, a member of Dr. Martin Luther King’s staff and companion to the slain leader, Rev. Smalls is moving forward to join others in resurrecting the Dream of Dr. King’s Beloved Economic Communities. Utilizing experts in urban agriculture, Citychurch will support the building of small agri-businesses within Houston’s inner city and surrounding areas. The mission is engaging all ethnic, social and religious groups in building harmony among all peoples by making economic opportunity a reality within our communities.
