If you are not familiar with our mission and this is your first contact with us is online: We would be pleased to hear from you! Please let us know what your needs and questions are, we will be more than happy to help.

In brief, you should know the following about us: our church was established in 2005  in Richmond, Texas and began as a home mission.  Shortly thereafter, we moved services into a local hotel  where worship and bible study was conducted.  In 2007, we expanded into Houston'a inner city to minister to children and families.  In February, 2007, we conducted an outdoor servicd at Emancipation Park in Houston's historic 3rd Ward. This meeting led to outdoor services at the Cuney Homes housing which grew rapidly.  In April 2007, under an agreement with the Marftin Luther King Jr Community Center, Inc. operations were moved  into the then closed King Center at 2720 Sampson Street in Houston's 3rd Ward.  As a part of the international feed the children ministries, we began feeding children, families, and the homeless, while ministering The Word of God.

In 2008, our food missions grew rapidly. working with the Food Bank and other communitgy resources, the CityChurch mission provided over 5000 meals to children, families nd the homeless. Our efforts to increase church missions within the 3rd Ward of Houston have aided to the success of many mission teams including 1000 Hills Ministries which provides food, shelter and ministry to hundreds of the homeless and Generation One, a Methodist led youth ministry which is housed on properties operated by CityChurch and owned by the MLK Community Center.

Since operating out of the MLK Communitgy Center, C ityChurch Houston has served over 20,000 meals to the commuinity, providing tutoring, biblical and educational assistance to hundreds of students, provided healthy alternative food instruction, operated a successful aquaponics experiment to demolnstrate urban food growing systems which are ecology friendly and have provided free training to residents in the area of graphics, printing and carpentry.   CityChurch believes that every child has a right to a healthy and productive life guided by the Word of God.

CityChurch is leading the efforts to rebuild the historic Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center which has served the City of Houston since 1968.
